Almost There

Trill called on Tuesday to say he was beginning the 100 Mile Wilderness , 114 miles to go but who’s counting.   Actually approaching the end of this amazing journey is bittersweet for him.   He was excited Tuesday though for this next challenge.

Having this website has been fun for many of us tracking his progress and so many people have come to the site to check  but not always posting a note.  I thought it would be great for Trill aka Brandon to have a congratulatory note from all who have been checking in over the past 5 months. So sign on and post a quick note that he can read when he finishes and returns home.   Thanks to all for your interest and prayers.

Hi Trill:

HOORAY!!!! No Pain, No Rain, No Gain, No Maine!!! (A direct quote from Jukebox)….I am certain you found the quote to be true.

I have enjoyed your AT journey via your blog. Don Juan/Jon Summitted Katahdin July 7th!!!! That was so wonderful for me. I can only imagine the joy you will feel when you see the Katahdin sign.

Blessings as you summit and blessings as you complete your education. Although hiking the entire AT is a complete education in itself. You probably learned things on the trail that can never be learned in a classroom.

Congratulation, Thank-you for perseverance, determination, and dedication!!!

Way to go Trill,
You may get to read this before I see you so just want you to know how very proud I am of you and for you. I always knew you would make it even when you thought I didn’t when I wanted to help with the planning. Sometimes your hard-headedness will be a virtue. Take it from a fellow Carbon-Head!
really enjoyed Maryland with you and Roundhouse and meeting many of your trail friends, the stories and the camaraderie.
Don’t dread the finish. It is only a milestone in the early part of your REAL journey. Life is the big trail on which you have traveled only a short way. My prayer is that “Trail Magic” follows you forever, that you are able to recognize it when it happens and that you have as much joy giving it as those have giving to you. I want to Thank all those reading this that have helped Trill along his way and provided encouragement through these blogs. It has touched us all.
I love you and very proud of you.
Dad
